CGR-FX Rotary Pistons

The rotary piston gas meter is a volumetric meter designed for high-precision metering for fiscal use. It is normally used in both gas transportation and distribution, but also as a sample meter in calibration plants.

The gas flows through chambers defined by the special “8” shape of the pistons and makes them move. The rotation of the pistons is transmitted to the counter by means of a magnetic coupling, which ensures complete separation between the inside and the outside of the meter.

The measuring cartridge is separated from the outer body so it is foreign to any mechanical stresses due to imperfect flange alignment.

As a result of the above, together with the high-precision machining of the parts, which allows for the rotor spacing to be minimised, the rotary piston meter ensures minimal pressure drops and a wide measuring range.

All parts subject to maintenance (oil level indicators, oil filler cap, counter, pulse generator, etc.) are located on the front, so the meter can be installed in close contact with the rear wall.
